THE
BUIP WEEKLY INFORMAL MEETING
Dear
Friends and Colleagues,
Due to our busy schedule with the preparations for the events
on 16-18 October (see our news section for more information on
this) we have rescheduled our first "Weekly Informal Meeting"
to the end of this month.
We will make sure that we have an interesting speaker so check
this page regularly for the date, time and venue.
The BUIP "Weekly Informal Meeting" is an initiative
of the Bahrain Urban Indicator Programme. It is a one-hour informal
discussion session, where subjects related to the urban sector
in its broadest meaning will be discussed in an open and informal
manner.
The admission is free and open to all interested parties and participants
are expected to come from a wide range of different stakeholders
including the central government, local government, private sector,
NGO's and other interested practitioners and individuals.
There is no strict agenda for these meetings but in general a
subject will be introduced for about 20 minutes by a speaker after
which a free flowing discussion will start. No minutes are kept.
In some cases participants might decide that a follow up is needed
based on the discussion and form a small working group.
