The ultimate
target beneficiaries will be the citizens of Bahrain, particularly
the urban lower and middle class, who will benefit from a better-managed
city. Through that betterment, the 'quality of life' will be broadly
improved and the Bahrain as a city can continue to be the medium
for social development and economic growth and reflect the aspiration
of its inhabitants.
The direct beneficiaries of the project activities will be the
stakeholders directly dealing with the B.U.I.P. They will be provided
with a set of comprehensive Urban Indicators, the tools to collect,
analyze and publish them, a state of the art capacity building
programme and the physical, institutional, financial and intellectual
space to make B.U.I.P really work.
